Meeting Sustainability & Technology Challenges

The International Tin Association (ITA) is pleased to announce that the 12th International Tinplate Conference will be an online event and take place on 20-21 October 2021.

The 12th International Tinplate Conference was originally due to take place in London last year but with restrictions in global travel due to COVID-19 likely to continue into next year the decision has been made to move the conference online. We are excited about the opportunities this online event may bring to increase global participation.

The two-day event will include presentations and Q&A sessions on Market outlook, Sustainability, New tinplate technologies, New technologies for can makers and Container fabrication, performance and use. In the session breaks and during the conference there will also be networking opportunities through social lounges and direct messaging for scheduled meetings.

Held every four years, the first International Tinplate Conference took place in 1976 and it is well respected in the industry as a unique forum for tracking market and technology changes in tinplate. The event attracts delegates from across the supply chain, including tinplate producers, traders, analysts, can makers, lacquer suppliers, equipment and electrolyte suppliers. The last conference in London in 2016 attracted over 125 delegates.

The cost to attend the event is £300 (subject to VAT for UK Companies, outside the scope of VAT for companies outside UK).  Tinplate Group Members are entitled to a greatly discounted rate.
