Kay Nimmo graduated in Metallurgy from Birmingham University (UK) and joined the Technology Centre where she gained experience designing new industrial and electronic materials, including lead-free solder alloys, and understanding needs of product manufacturers.

Kay then moved on to lead continued materials at the International Association, and with an increased interest in compliance issues, subsequently formed a new group to influence and manage legislative, environmental and social matters across the tin industry.

Kay currently leads a number of industry critical activities including the REACH consortium, the International Supply Chain Initiative (ITSCI) addressing conflict mineral issues, and our to implement the tin industry standard for responsible production.
