Metals X has released new resource and reserve figures for its Australian mines and projects as at 30 June, the end of its financial year. Continuing exploration and resource definition at the Renison mine, in which it has a 50% stake, has boosted its tin inventory, especially in the relatively high grade Central Federal Bassett zone.

The total proven and probable ore reserves for the Renison Bell mine have increased by 16% since last year, or 7,500 tonnes, to 53,100 tonnes of contained tin metal, while the total mineral resource increased by 2% to 155,900 tonnes of contained tin metal.

Total resources across all Metals X properties (Renison, Renison Tailings, Mt Bischoff and Collingwood) amounted to 33.03 million tonnes of ore at 0.81% Sn, for 268,000 tonnes contained tin, while reserves (a subset of the resource figures based on current mining plans) amounted to 23.89 million tonnes at 0.59% Sn or 142,000 tonnes contained tin.

Metals X CEO Mr Peter Cook said, “This increase continues to demonstrate the potential of the Renison complex. The size and quality of its tin inventory including the Rentails expansion project, and the significant amount of in-place capital infrastructure leaves it few peers as a Western World publicly listed tin company.”
