ASX-listed Trafford Resources announced latest results of a re-assaying programme at its 100% owned Wilcherry Hill tenements in South Australia, which were previously explored for iron ore and gold. Of over 80,000 samples previously assayed, so far only 5,400, or 7% of the total, have been assayed for tin content. The Wilcherry Hill tenements cover an area of over 2,700 km2 and Trafford MD Ian Finch said that work to date may indicate “a new and extensive tin province”.

Latest examination of 443 samples taken from old drill holes from the Weednanna prospect indicated an average tin grade of 0.53% tin (using a cut off of 0.3%), often at depths of less than 50 metres from the surface. Weednanna is one of at least seven tin prospects within the tenements.
