The International Tin Association (ITA) has published its Tin Industry Low-Carbon Transition Roadmap, marking an important milestone in supporting the tin industry’s transition towards a lower-carbon future under the TIN2030 Strategy.
Developed through ITA’s Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Working Group, which brings together ITA and member companies to advance life cycle assessment, climate change and broader low-carbon initiatives, the roadmap sets out a framework of key priorities and actions to guide industry progress in the medium term.
The roadmap focuses on strengthening the industry’s understanding of greenhouse gas emissions through improved data and reporting, promoting greater alignment across the value chain, identifying opportunities to support low-carbon technologies and practices, and encouraging continued collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing. It is intended to evolve over time as data quality improves, stakeholder expectations develop, and new opportunities for industry-wide action emerge.
