South Korea’s Public Procurement Service (PPS) bought 200 tonnes of standard grade MSC tin from Daewoo at its latest tender on 12 May, at a US$288 c.i.f. premium to the LME price. This is the fourth tin tender so far in 2015, with cumulative purchases to date now amounting to 800 tonnes, in a mix of 99.9% low lead and standard grade metal from Indonesia and Malaysia.

The PPS is a state organisation providing a purchasing and stockpiling service for small and medium sized enterprises in Korea, and has bought some 2,000 tonnes annually in recent years and holds a stockpile of around 3,000 tonnes.
