Helen Prins
Chief Executive Officer
Helen leads the International Tin Association, working with the board, senior leadership team and business streams to ensure an innovative, competitive, and sustainable supply chain and market for tin.
Helen joined the International Tin Association in March 2022 from Shell where she has held sustainability leadership roles for over 20 years, based in the UK, The Netherlands and Nigeria. Helen’s last assignment was leading a cross-functional team to increase in-country value from major energy investments. Prior to this, she managed Shell’s Sustainability Report and global social investment portfolio. In 2021, Helen received an outstanding contribution award for work on generating prosperity for countries and communities as part of Shell’s Powering Progress strategy.
Helen has been actively involved with industry associations for many years, chairing industry taskforces and leading multistakeholder partnerships on issues including road safety, access to energy, partnerships and human rights and conflict resolution.
Helen has an MSc in International Development from London South Bank University and BA (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Coventry University.
