Kay Nimmo

Kay Nimmo graduated in Metallurgy from Birmingham University (UK) and joined the Cookson Technology Centre where she gained experience designing new industrial and electronic materials, including lead-free solder alloys, and understanding needs of product manufacturers.
Kay then moved on to lead continued materials research at the International Tin Association, and with an increased interest in compliance issues, subsequently formed a new group to influence and manage legislative, environmental and social matters across the tin industry.
Kay currently leads a number of industry critical global activities including the REACH consortium, the International Tin Supply Chain Initiative (ITSCI) addressing conflict mineral issues, and our Code of Conduct to implement the tin industry standard for responsible production.
